There are a million things to do in the course of a day, each pulling at your attention. Sometimes the to-do list can feel hard wired into your nervous system as you fight the seemingly losing battle for balance over doing more and being less. When this feeling overtakes me, I come back to this poem that points me in a direction that reconnects me to the essential. Clearing Do not try to save the whole world or do anything grandiose. Instead, create a clearing in the dense forest of your life and wait there patiently, until the song that is your life falls into your own cupped hands and you recognize and greet it. Only then will you know how to give yourself to this world so worth of rescue. Martha Postlewaite Join me for these offerings designed to create ‘clearing’ in your life. |
