What if someone has symptoms on the pilgrimage? If a member of the group experiences symptoms on the pilgrimage, they are asked to let the Valerie Brown know immediately. Valerie will ask the symptomatic person to immediately isolate from the group. The symptomatic person and each person in the group should bring a supply of three to four COVID-19 test kits in order to test themselves. If the test is negative, no further action will be taken.
What if someone tests positive for COVID-19 during pilgrimage? If a member of the group tests positive, Valerie Brown will ask the individual and any travel partner(s) (if sharing a room) to exit the pilgrimage for the well-being of the greater group. Valerie will help facilitate this as well as share next steps with the other members of the group who may have had close contact with the positive individual. Each person, including a member of the group testing positive and that person’s travel partner(s) should bring a supply of three to four COVID-19 test kits in order to test themselves.
Face masks are required on all coaches during the pilgrimage and indoors except when eating or drinking.
